Vintage Hardy “The Halford Knockabout ” 9ft 6” #7, 2 piece Palakona cane Fly Rod in excellent vintage condition. Pinlock joints, burgundy eye and intermediate whipping, lined butt and tip rings, concealed butt spike and cork handle with up-locking reel seat. This rod stamped H53543 (1963) comes with its original Hardy twin pocket zip and press stud khaki bag included. Condition * Cane straight no sets, damage or repair * Eyes and whipping original and sound * Varnish excellent * Markings and stamping all present and correct * Cork handle clean and complete, consistent with light use. * Bag intact This original Rod appears to have seen light use and been well maintained, a collectible or usable example from the respected British rod builder Hardy of Alnwick.
