This twin tip rod, stamped 26667 comes in an unbranded 4 pocket khaki cloth bag.
An early example Hardy “Gold Medal” 14ft 3 piece split cane Fly Rod in very good condition for its age. Lock fast joints, red snake eye and intermediate whipping, and a 24” cork handle with sliding lock ring reel seat. This refurbished rod stamped E 9816 (1927) comes in Hardy branded khaki cloth bag, with the 53rd edition (1924) Hardy Anglers Guide also included.
Rare Fosters of Ashbourne “The Champion” 9ft and 8ft 3 piece (plus additional shorter butt section to achieve 8ft), split cane combination Fly Rod in excellent condition. Bronzed brass ferrules, green tipped burgundy eye whippings, burgundy intermediate whippings, lined tip ring, turned hardwood stoppers and cork handles with single alloy sliding ring reel seats. This combination rod comes in its original Fosters purpose made 4 pocket cloth bag. At some point the centre section ferrule has been re-whipped but apart from that the rod appears to be all original.
Vintage Thorton 9ft 6” #6, 3 piece split cane Fly Rod in excellent condition. Bronzed brass suction ferrules, dark green whipping, agate lined butt and tip eyes and a 14” cork handle with up-locking reel seat. The rod comes in what is thought to be its original unbranded 3 pocket cloth bag.
Excellent Shimano “Tribal Velocity” 12ft, 3.25 lbs test curve, 2 piece carbon fibre Carp Rod in “as new” condition. Dark charcoal blanks, black whipped eyes, 50mm dia butt eye and a 27” cork handle with up-locking reel seat. This rod is in excellent condition with the protective film still on the cork handle and the manufacturers tag still attached. The rod comes with its original Shimano twin pocket bag which has become slightly tatty but doesn’t detract from the quality of the rod.
Vintage Silstar “Specialist Edge Bass” 12ft, 2 - 4oz casting weight, 2 piece carbon fibre Beach Caster Bass Rod in excellent condition. Attractive grey, black and gold weave blanks, blue tipped black whippings and a composite handle with up-locking reel seat. This beach rod is very original and appears little used, it comes in its Silstar twin pocket yellow nylon bag.
