Bronzed brass suction ferrules, red tipped green whipped eyes, green intermediate whipping, red agate lined butt and tip rings, and a 26” cork handle with twin alloy sliding ring reel fittings. This “near mint” rod, marked Carp 01, appears to have had little use (the varnish being excellent throughout), it comes with a turned hardwood stopper and in what is thought to be its original twin pocket khaki cloth bag. Rare early Hardy “Featherweight” 9ft 6” 2 piece (plus 3 tips) Palakona split cane Fly Rod in very good condition. Lockfast joints, crimson eye and intermediate whipping, lined butt and tip rings, turned hardwood stopper and a detachable cork handle with single nickel silver slip ring wooden reel seat. This rod, stamped 16200 (1890) has seen a repair and lacquer crazing to one tip section, the remaining sections are in very good condition for a rod of this age. Vintage split cane Spinning Rod by Pezon et Michel, one of France’s most respected rod makers. This example is the “Sport” model, measuring approximately 10ft (3m), and dates to the mid-1960s, confirmed by serial number 1964663. Built from Tonkin bamboo in the traditional Pezon style, the rod features classic orange flamed cane, red and green intermediate whippings, and a 26” cork handle with twin alloy reel fittings. This traditional rod with classic French craftsmanship is supplied with a twin pocket cloth bag. General condition.
