Rare vintage R Chapman and Co "Fred J Taylor Roach Rod" 12ft 6" 2 piece ( plus handle ) split cane coarse fishing rod, brass ferrules, burgundy eye and intermediate whippings, red agate top and bottom eyes and a " 30 detachable cork handle with black anodised sliding ring reel fittings. This is the only surviving rod of only two ever made, in excellent condition it appears little unused. It was gifted to Chris Dawn , then editor of the Angling Times by Percy Anderson "King of the Cam" during mid 70's as written on the rod's butt section ( see photo ). This rare rod is accompanied by relevant documentation and comes complete in a new purpose made bag.

J S Sharpe of Aberdeen The Scottie 9ft #6 manufactured by Farlows in 1978. This impregnated split cane fly rod stamped 8.6.66 is in very good condition with burgundy whippings, bronzed brass ferrule snake eyes and a cork handle with down locking reel seat. Vintage Pezon et Michel “Parabolic Grilse” #8, 2 piece split cane light salmon Fly Rod. The rod has 2 extra tips extending its 10ft 4” to 10ft 6” or 10ft 8”, bronzed brass suction ferrules, red tipped green whipped eyes and a 22” cork handle with single alloy sliding ring reel seat. This rod, made for Farlow’s and numbered 8216449 is in excellent condition and comes in the manufacturers twin pocket olive green cloth bag.
Excellent example of Pezon et Michel made for Farlow’s “Parabolic Grilse” #7/8, 2 piece split cane salmon Fly Rod. Bronzed brass suction ferrules, red tipped green whipped eyes and a 22” cork handle with single alloy sliding ring reel seat. This rod, marked F. 70. 12574 is in original condition and comes in a Farlow’s twin pocket olive green cloth bag.

This original rod is stamped 13734 and comes in its 3 pocket C. Farlow khaki cloth bag.

This twin tip rod has a scorched whole butt section and split cane tip sections, black snake eye and intermediate whippings, agate lined butt and tip rings, and a cork handle with single alloy sliding ring reel seat. The tips are stored in an Ogden Smith branded tube, the rod and tube come complete in what is thought to be the original twin pocket cloth bag.
Rare Farstrike, built by Davenport and Fordham of London, “T. C. Ivens Original” 10ft #6/7, 2 piece split cane Fly Rod in very good original condition. Green whipped suction ferrule, golden whipped eyes, turned hardwood stopper, and a cork handle with up locking reel seat. The rod comes in what is thought to be its original twin pocket cloth bag as part of this sale.
