Bronzed brass shoulder joints, burgundy eye and intermediate whippings, lined butt and tip rings, turned alloy stopper and a cork handle with up-locking reel seat. This Rod, stamped H46498 (1956) comes with the original Hardy twin pocket zip and press stud (working) bag included Condition * Cane straight no sets or damage * Eyes and whipping appear to be original * Varnish excellent, consistent with a rod of this age * Markings and stamping present and correct * Cork handle clean and complete * Bag intact An excellent example of a classic rod for a collection or use from the well respected British builder, Hardy’s of Alnwick.
