Rare vintage Hardy “Wallis Avon” 12ft 3 piece Avon Rod with whole cane butt, split cane centre and tip sections, in very good condition. Bronzed brass shouldered joints, green high bells and intermediate whipping, lined tip ring, knurled alloy stoppers and a 18” cork handle with twin sliding ring reel fittings. Original Hardy 4 pocket khaki bag included. Condition: * Cane no damage or repairs, slight set to tip section * Eyes and whipping appear to be original and sound * Varnish very good * Stampings and markings present * Cork handle clean and complete * Bag intact This very good example of an Avon Rod from the respected British builder, Hardy of Alnwick.
