Vintage JA Walker of Alnwick “Salmon Rod” 12ft 6” 3 piece (plus spare tip) split cane Fly Rod in good condition. Lock Fast joints, burgundy whipped eyes, black intermediate whippings, red agate lined tip rings and a 22” cork handle with single alloy slip ring reel seat. The rod comes with its JA Walker 4 pocket khaki cloth bag. Please note tips 7/10 inches short and some lacquer crazing. Un - assembled length 130cm. 613

This rod stamped E 95229 (1954) has some rewhipping work mainly around the eyes; it comes in a Hardy twin pocket khaki cloth bag.

Rare Hardy “Gold Medal ” 11ft 10” 3 piece split cane fly fishing rod. This early rod stamped A13074 (1904) is in very good condition given its age, having bronzed brass ferrules, lined butt & tip rings, burgundy intermediate and eye whippings and a 15” leather covered handle with bronze sliding ring reel seat. This rod comes complete with a Hardy 3 pocket khaki cloth bag (not the original).

Rare vintage, early Hardy “The No 2” 9ft 9” 3 piece Palakona split cane Fly Rod, bag and tube.

Early Hardy “J J H Fly The No 2” 9ft 9” 3 piece Palakona split cane fly rod. This vintage rod, stamped E4222 (1926) is in good condition, the butt and mid sections have been re varnished at some point. Bronzed brass Lockfast ferrules, lined butt and tip rings, burgundy eye and intermediate whippings and cork handle with butt cap screw up locking reel seat. This rod comes complete with a Hardy khaki cloth bag and Hardy bamboo tube, missing its leather cap. Please note the Hardy Catalogue is for reference only and not included as part of this sale.
