Rare vintage J.S. Sharpe of Aberdeen “The Featherweight” 8ft #5/6, 2 piece impregnated split cane Fly Rod in excellent condition. Bronzed brass suction ferrule, burgundy snake eye whippings, turned hardwood stopper and a cork handle with a single alloy slip ring reel seat. Supplied with a Sharpes twin pocket cloth bag. Condition: * Overall excellent vintage condition * Cane is straight with no obvious sets * Cork handle clean, unmarked and complete * Rings and whippings are in good tight condition * Varnish also excellent, consistent with a rod of this age A classic, fishable split cane fly rod, stamped 1.7.146 (July 1981) by the renowned Scottish maker J.S.
