Rare Fosters of Ashbourne “The Champion” 9ft and 8ft 3 piece (plus additional shorter butt section to achieve 8ft), split cane combination Fly Rod in excellent condition. Bronzed brass ferrules, green tipped burgundy eye whippings, burgundy intermediate whippings, lined tip ring, turned hardwood stoppers and cork handles with single alloy sliding ring reel seats. This combination rod comes in its original Fosters purpose made 4 pocket cloth bag. At some point the centre section ferrule has been re-whipped but apart from that the rod appears to be all original.
