Rare vintage J.S. Sharpe of Aberdeen “The Aberdeen” 14ft #10, 3 piece (plus spare tip) Split Cane Salmon Fly Rod in excellent condition. Spliced ferrules with wood covers, traditional burgundy eye whippings, lined butt and tip rings, and a 25” cork handle with single alloy slip ring reel seat. Supplied with Sharpe’s 4 pocket cloth bag. Condition: * Overall excellent vintage condition * Cane is straight with no obvious sets * Cork handle signs of normal, light use * Varnish slight marks consistent with a rod of this age (1969). A classic salmon fly rod, stamped 97- 123 (July 1969) by the renowned Scottish maker J.S. Sharpe of Aberdeen. Un - assembled length 164cm. 637
