J S Sharpe of Aberdeen “The Scottie” 9ft 6” #6/7, 2 piece impregnated split cane fly fishing rod, manufactured in 1967. This rod, stamped 709 131 is in exceptional condition, probably the best example the author has seen, with burgundy whippings, bronzed brass ferrule, lined butt & tip eyes, a cork handle with mini butt extension and down locking reel seat. The rod comes complete with a turned stopper and its original manufacturers twin sleeve khaki bag with mini butt pocket.
