An early example (possibly one of the first) Hardy “Gold Medal” 10ft 3 piece split cane Fly Rod. Lock fast joints, silk eye and intermediate whipping, and a cork handle with brass single slip ring and reel seat. This rod, stamped 14395 (1890 1891), is in good condition but as expected for a rod of this age it has undergone, only where necessary, some professional re-whipping and had its tip replaced. Included in this sale is an unbranded 3 pocket cloth bag.
